Pastures and grasslands bind carbon in the soil and grazing animals benefit biodiversity. The animals convert grass into nutritious foods with a high protein content. What does not become food is used, among other things, for medicines, furniture, biogas and energy production.

Animal manure can be used for a lot. Among other things as biogas to run buses or to create electricity and heat. The manure of the animals is used as natural fertilizer for the farms’ crops and thus the use of artificial fertilizers is reduced. From the farm’s harvests, we get, among other things, new feed for the animals and natural raw materials for our food production. The fact that this cycle works well in Sweden is one of the reasons why Swedish beef has a 60 percent lower climate impact than the world average.
