GHG Emission Disclosure

The companies in the Haga Initiative have produced a joint greenhouse gas emissions disclosure. In the greenhouse gas emissions disclosure, the companies’ goals, climate impact and efforts to reach the goals are disclosed.

An integral part of a comprehensive climate strategy is knowing where the company currently stands by calculating its greenhouse gas emissions. All calculations in the greenhouse gas emissions disclosure conform to the guidelines set out in the GHG protocol, which is an international calculation standard for quantifying companies emissions of greenhouse gases.

In order to understand the base of calculation which the greenhouse gas emissions disclosure is derived from the Haga Initiative has developed a calculation method.

The GHG protocol is a framework and does not provide concrete instructions for exactly how the calculations shall be made in each country and within each company.
