Synsam works actively for more sustainable production and consumption. Thanks to recycling and reuse boxes in the Group’s 500 stores, customers’ old and used glasses are given new life.

An example of circular production is the Circular Collection, which is made from recycled glasses from our recycling bins. Via collaboration with one of Sweden’s leading recycling centers that sorts all parts into glasses; acetate, plastic, metal, screws, hinges, glass, everything is taken care of. The acetate is then made into new glasses, under the name Circular Collection.

Frames that are in good condition are instead reused in Synsam’s new store concept, Synsam Recycling Outlet, where they get a second chance from a new owner.
