In May 2021, Ballograf started the production of a special edition of the classic ballpoint pen Epoca made of recycled hard plastic. The recycled plastic comes from used electronics recycled by Stena Recycling. Ballograf’s Epoca pen is used by authorities, banks and other businesses where archival-resistant ink and pens that last a long time are required. The recycled plastic must therefore be of high quality. In April 2022, almost 40,000 pens of the Epoca Recycled Plastics product series were sold. Recycled quality plastic has thus replaced virgin raw material.
