Wind power mills are 85-90 percent recyclable, but the blades largely consist of thermoset composite that is difficult to separate. The industry thus shares a recycling challenge together with, among others, the boat and aviation industries. The European trade body has previously called for landfill bans to speed up the transition, and now several manufacturers have launched 100% recyclable wind turbine blades.
