During the renovation of the IKEA department store in Kungens Kurva, 10,000 square meters of old floors have been demolished and returned to Tarkett’s factory in Ronneby for recycling. The collected floor has been ground down and washed clean of glue and putty with the help of a new self-developed process at Tarkett. The recycled material has been used as a raw material for new floors in an IKEA department store in Jönköping. In total, the project is estimated to save up to 100 tonnes of CO2.
