Rebaba works to enhance the circularity of electric vehicle (EV) batteries lifecycle by converting them into stationary energy storage systems.
As renewable energy expands rapidly, large fluctuations are created in the power grid. Stationary energy storage can play a crucial role in balancing the grid and stabilizing electricity prices. The energy storage market is growing quickly and is expected to be five times larger by 2030. At the same time, the production of new batteries is a strain on the environment. When EV batteries are removed from vehicles, they often still have up to 80 percent of their capacity left, a resource that is frequently wasted.
Rebaba utilizes these batteries, repurposing them as stationary energy storage systems for buildings and industries. Rebaba’s system is designed to be modular and scalable, helping industries and property owners reduce their energy costs while contributing to a more stable power grid. By reusing these batteries, each system can also save up to 100 tons of carbon dioxide.
