Twelve companies launch Greenhouse Gas Emissions Disclosure 2013

If companies are to achieve their climate goals, it is vital to measure and follow up key indicators. As part of this, for the fourth year running, the Haga Initiative has produced a joint greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) disclosure. The member companies of the network, representing various industries, have committed themselves to reduce their climate impact with at least 40% by 2020 through own actions.

The members of the Haga Initiative voluntarily calculate and disclose their climate impact each year. One conclusion the member companies can draw from the results is that the disclosure of GHG emissions implies reduced emissions in the long term. Another conclusion is that reduced climate impact also leads to profitability which is shown in the report by concrete examples from the companies.
